Our Story

SNAP is a Lake Zurich School Community Unit School District #95 after-school- program for students 8-18 years of age.  Started by District #95 Adaptive PE Teacher Meghan Mowinski, this program has grown from a handful of athletes and volunteers to dozens of Special Needs athletes and many High School volunteer helpers

This year we have 28 Athletes and over 100 Volunteers!

SNAP provides extra curricular activities to Lake Zurich District 95 special needs students.  An All-Sports program, dance, basketball, bowling, and track / field events are currently being offered through our program. These programs offer many opportunities to learn new physical /social skills
Over the years Mrs. Mowinski expanded SNAP’s programs from one five week program to five program offerings.  This year is the program’s 14th year. Track and Field athletes train to compete in the Northern Illinois Special Olympics

TO BE ANNOUNCED

We are self funded through contributions and SNAP tee shirt sales. These funds help furnish our athletes and volunteers with uniforms, supplies, snacks and transportation, as well as provide for the athletes award dinner.
